Prada Unveils a Luxe Men’s Haven on Fifth Avenue, Redefining New York Elegance

New York, NY – March 28, 2025

On a crisp Friday morning, Prada unveiled its latest masterpiece: a dedicated men’s boutique at 720 Fifth Avenue, seamlessly connected to its iconic New York flagship at 724 Fifth Avenue. This bold expansion along one of the world’s most prestigious shopping corridors marks a new chapter for the Italian luxury titan, blending timeless sophistication with a modern masculine edge.

The new men’s sanctuary, which opened its doors on March 28, 2025, complements the neighboring 12,700-square-foot flagship, home to Prada’s women’s collections and the dazzling Eternal Gold fine jewelry line. A sleek concrete facade unites the two spaces, while the men’s store boasts its own distinct entrance, flanked by expansive windows that offer a tantalizing glimpse of the curated treasures within.

Spanning over 13,000 square feet across two floors, the boutique is a showcase of Prada’s menswear artistry. From impeccably tailored ready-to-wear pieces to luxurious leather goods, cutting-edge footwear, and standout accessories, the collection exudes refinement. Shoppers will also discover a range of lifestyle novelties and exclusive specialty items, adding a playful twist to the sophisticated lineup.

Prada’s investment in this prime Fifth Avenue real estate is no small feat. At the close of 2023, the brand secured both 724 and 720 Fifth Avenue—previously home to Abercrombie & Fitch—for a staggering $835 million, cementing its foothold in New York’s luxury epicenter.

Inside, the store is a harmonious blend of heritage and innovation, a hallmark of Prada’s design ethos. The ground floor greets visitors with the brand’s iconic black-and-white checkered marble, a nod to the original Milan boutique in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, set against walls bathed in Prada’s signature pastel green. Ascend to the second level, and a rosewood checkered surface takes center stage, paired with plush green velvet and black leather seating. Dark wood and steel accents lend a contemporary, masculine vibe to the space.

A standout feature is the private suite, an intimate enclave offering bespoke experiences. Alongside Prada’s renowned Made to Measure service, the boutique introduces an exclusive Made to Order program—available only here—allowing clients to customize ready-to-wear, footwear, and leather goods with premium materials like cashmere and silk. Expert specialists guide customers through the process, ensuring a tailored experience in every sense.

The collection itself is a celebration of versatility and craftsmanship. Footwear ranges from sleek signature sneakers to minimalist sandals and loafers in suede and calfskin, balancing softness with structure. Leather goods dazzle in classic Re-Nylon, distressed finishes, and embellished designs, while travel pieces merge practicality with high style. The ready-to-wear lineup shines with elevated summer fabrics—think noble linens, silks, and leathers—infused with vibrant prints and bold stripes that demand attention.

Fifth Avenue, long a global beacon of luxury, has seen a renaissance in recent years, fueled by billions in investment from heavyweights like Tiffany, Kering, LVMH, Rolex, and even Ikea. Since 2023, the avenue has witnessed over $3.9 billion in commercial real estate deals, with Prada’s arrival adding to the momentum. Laura Pomerantz, vice chairman of Cushman & Wakefield, notes that while Madison Avenue draws a mix of digital and contemporary brands, this stretch of Fifth Avenue is “all luxury”—a magnet for high-end labels eager to own their slice of the street amid soaring rents.

“Fifth Avenue is thriving,” Pomerantz says. “Tourism is booming, and foot traffic is strong, especially around 56th, 57th, and 58th Streets.” Will Silverman, managing director at Eastdil Secured, who facilitated the Prada deal, predicts an even grander future. “This neighborhood is poised for $10 to $20 billion in investment over the next decade,” he says, pointing to projects like the Park Lane redevelopment, Harry Winston’s revamp, Rolex’s new headquarters, and Louis Vuitton’s 57th Street overhaul. “Within 300 to 500 feet of Prada’s store, you’ll see a luxury theme park unlike anything else on earth.”

Prada’s new men’s boutique isn’t just a store—it’s a statement. A fusion of heritage, innovation, and unapologetic luxury, it’s set to redefine Fifth Avenue’s skyline, one impeccably crafted detail at a time.
